Silver Spring’s Woodmoor neighborhood music festival, known as WOODMOORstock, released its stage-by-stage lineups and festival map for the third annual event to be held on Saturday, June 8 (rain date: June 9) from 12pm-6pm. The lineups for the 10 stages that will be set up on porches, lawns and driveways throughout Woodmoor will feature nearly 50 bands spanning various genres from punk to indie rock to soul and bluegrass.

The individual stage lineups and map of stages included here will be posted in the coming days at
woodmoorstock.com. Printed materials will be available along with merchandise for sale on the day of the event at “The Circle” in Woodmoor, located at approximately 100 Woodmoor Dr.

Location

Stages will be located throughout the Woodmoor neighborhood in Four Corners (University Blvd/Colesville Rd) in Silver Spring, MD. Map attached will be posted to woodmoorstock.com in coming days.

By the Numbers

The 49 local and regional bands playing at 10 stages for the community have all volunteered their time, talents and equipment to support the arts in Silver Spring. No bands at the festival are compensated for appearing at WOODMOORstock. This year’s WOODMOORstock music festival, dubbed WOODMOORstock III, has grown after 2022’s inaugural festival and 2023’s reprise saw nearly 100 bands attract thousands of festival goers and music enthusiasts. In fact, last year The Washington Post called WOODMOORstock one of “10 D.C. music festivals you can’t miss in June.”

Over 50 volunteers and close to 200 musicians of all ages will be making this year’s event possible. Street closures and safety will be monitored by MCPD at the all-ages music festival.  Food & beverage trucks will be onsite at the festival.

Parking

Street parking is available, as is parking in local parking lots adjacent to Pinecrest Park (301 St. Lawrence Drive, Silver Spring, MD 20901).

Sound Check Trivia Event

Local event organizers invite the public to join in to support WOODMOORstock III the night before the event by joining the “Sound Check Trivia” fundraiser on Friday June 7th at 6 pm at 10205 Brookmoor Dr., Silver Spring. Sound Check Trivia is an event (presented by Denizens Brewing Co. and hosted by Woodmoor’s trivia maestro Matt Andelman) organized to raise festival funds essential to running the show. Don’t miss this chance to also hear an exclusive acoustic set from Woodmoor resident and former WOODMOORstock performer and host Dave Brewer. Register at woodmoorstock.com.

Book Drive

Help support Montgomery Knolls and Pine Crest kids' summer reading by donating gently-used books at the circle on event day. The Rotary Club of Downtown Silver Spring is organizing a book drive in partnership with our local MCPS schools.  Event attendees are encouraged to help them fill the book wagon at The Circle during WOOMOORstock.  Graphic novels are especially needed, but all elementary-age books in good condition are welcome.

Sponsors

Besides all of the musicians, hosts, and volunteers, WOODMOORstock organizers would like to thank the generous local businesses and organizations that are pitching in with financial or in-kind contributions this year. Sponsors have engaged and donated funds and in-kind contributions for equipment rentals, printing, signage and public facilities and food and beverage for our musicians.

Event sponsors: Woodmoor-Pinecrest Citizens Association, Rotary Club of Downtown Silver Spring, Tom Riley of The Burr Group at TTR Sotheby’s, Potomac River Arborists, Denizens Brewing Company, The 4 Corners Pub, Cari Jordan of GoBrent, Woodmoor Market, Santucci’s Deli, Chuck Levin’s Washington Music Center,  and Sports Extra Online.
